The Art of the Pendulum: Trust Your Inner Yes

Prismatic Reiki Academy lists The Art of the Pendulum: Trust Your Inner Yes as a two-hour, hands-on workshop at The Crimson Commuter in Madison Heights on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Ten seats, $37 per person. Of all the divination tools a student meets, the pendulum is the one most often taught badly, and that is the reason this class is on the calendar.
The part most teaching skips
Most pendulum instruction goes straight to reading the swing. This workshop covers what a pendulum can and cannot do before it covers anything else. A student who can state the limits of a tool out loud is a student who will not oversell it to a client later, and that is a professional skill rather than a spiritual one.
What is taught, in order
- The history and tradition behind pendulums and dowsing, including its roots in folk practice.
- How divination works as a reflective method, and the honest boundaries of it.
- Cleansing a pendulum, programming it, and framing a clear question.
- Reading the swing, and distinguishing a response from an expectation.
- Simple ways the tool fits into ordinary daily decisions.
Question framing is the real skill
A vague question produces a vague swing, and the student then blames the pendulum. The class spends its hands-on time on constructing questions that can actually be answered, which is the transferable part. The same discipline improves tarot work, intuitive reading and client intake.
What a student takes home
- A pendulum of their own, given as a gift from Prismatic Flower Essences.
- An educational manual covering everything taught in the room.
- Hands-on practice time during the session, not only demonstration.
